– A Yoga Practice to Bring Equality and Tranquility to our Body, Mind and Actions
My focus leans toward gentle and restorative styles of yoga. Classes and individual sessions offered include:
HATHA | SLOW VINYASA / FLOW | YIN / RESTORATIVE | GUIDED MEDITATION
Samatva or samata (“evenness”): the mental condition of harmony, balance – Yoga Journal
Yoga was developed up to 5,000 years ago in India as a comprehensive system for wellbeing on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
…People use various aspects of Yoga to help raise their quality of life in such diverse areas as fitness, stress relief, wellness, vitality, mental clarity, healing, peace of mind and spiritual growth. – Yoga Alliance
I meditate and practice yoga every day and it helps reduce my chronic pain from arthritis and fibromyalgia, but it also speaks to my soul. Because of these benefits, I want to help others find peace and healing through the practice of yoga. I began my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in March 2018 with YogaSpirit®.
My previous training background includes group and one-on-one corporate classroom training where I logged more teaching hours than I can calculate. Also, I taught two years of youth swim lessons at the YMCA.
In addition to teaching, writing is one of my passions. Besides my blog, I am published in eHow, Chron, and The Nest. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
This strong training background and my written communication skills provide a solid foundation for my yoga teaching so I can then help others on their yoga journey.
